🔫 HAEX announced:
Malmö-based Dead Astronauts announced their debut title 'HAEX' during Summer Games Fest (and they have already passed 200,000 wishlists!) HAEX is an open-world co-op survival shooter for 1-4 players
An anomaly has been detected in the sub-arctic north. The science team sent to investigate has gone missing. Survive an alien-scarred wilderness solo or with up to 3 friends. Reshape the world, craft weapons and gear, and fight to unearth what happened.

Stockholm-based Wrong Organ, developers of Mouthwashing announced 'Carcass Clad' during the PC Gaming Show 2026. The game is described as a "visceral co-op tank horror game"
✈️ Into the Wind announced:
Malmö-based Bloom & Gloom Games has announced their debut title 'Into the Wind' an Open-World Delivery Adventure game during the PC Gaming Show 2026 together with Stockholm-based publisher Three Friends
Drive, fly, and run deliveries together with your sentient motorcycle-plane, Ermes. Make friends, battle rowdy air pirates, upgrade your bike, decorate your home, explore the islands of Santa Rosa, and solve the mystery of your uncle's disappearance.
🐷 Pig King announced:
Gothenburg-based TwoPeaks has announced debut title 'Pig King' an arena party brawler for up to 4 players. Isle of Strays (an indie collective TwoPeaks is part of) will serve as co-publisher on the game, the first title Isle of Stray will help publish. 💀 End of Abyss gets a release date:
End of Abyss, the debut title from Malmö-based Section 9 Interactive (by former Little Nightmare devs) and published by Epic Games Publishing has announced that the game will release on October 1, 2026 - perfect for halloween!
⚔️ Valheim 1.0 release date:
Valheim, the mega hit survival game from Skövde-based Iron Gate and Coffee Stain which released into Early Access back in February 2021 has a 1.0 release date, September 9th, 2026
😱 Silver Pines release date:
Stockholm-based developer Wych Elm has together with publisher Team17 announced that their debut title, Silver Pines, a Survival Horror Metroidvania, will release on October 8th, 2026 (halloween is getting stacked!) - the team at Wych Elm has previously worked with Team17 on 'Yoku's Island Express' under the studio Villa Gorilla
✨ Wielders of the Essence release date:
Gothenburg-based developer Lavapotion, the developers of 'Songs of Conquest' together with publisher Coffee Stain has announced a November 5th, 2026 release date for Wielders of the Essence, a base-building horde survival game
Incremental base-building horde survival. Short runs earn you resources to construct buildings, which unlock new powers, troops, and spells. Every run pushes you forward, even if you die. Delightfully chaotic and surprisingly chill.

Uppsala-based developer Lantto Games together with publisher Hooded Horse have announced that Sandustry will release on August 13, 2026. Sandustry is a factory game with destructible worlds

- 🧙 Witchspire sells 100,000 copies: Stockholm-based Envar Games/Publishing has announced that their debut title Witchspire has passed 100,000 copies sold - an important milestone for the company that last month established Envar Publishing, meant to sign and publish additional games from external partners! - 🎯 Perfect Random to publish Washington Prime: Stockholm-based Perfect Random, the developer of SULFUR has announced that they will help publish Washington Prime, a tactical retro shooter from Stockholm-based Ultra CDG. 👀 I recommend: MOLE
Since there aren't many (or any) new games releasing in July, I figured I'd throw in a personal recommendation that no one asked for: MOLE!
A few weeks ago Stockholm-based developer Off Black Creations and publisher Oro Interactive released MOLE - a First-Person Psychological Horror game.
I recently completed it (5-ish hours long) and as a fan of horror I can confidently say that this game delivers on basically every front. The art direction, the sound, the story, how the game has a few creative "mini-game" type of interactions to make it a bit more engaging than psychological horror games tend to be. The 'Overwhelmingly Positive' reviews on Steam are well deserved, and if you are a fan of horror or shorter games do yourself a favor and check it out!
Pilot the MOLE, a monstrous post-war drilling machine built to descend deep below the Slavic soil. Fix failing systems, follow voices of the dead, and pray you can survive whatever is sharing your coffin. Will the vessel or your mind break first?
